|Way to go, Blizzard :P

Blizzard's furry friends
Unbelievably, for something that has been advertised and hyped for so long, Blizzard's World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is majorly bugged. The end quest sequence for the new Worgen race cannot be completed. This sequence includes
1. The Battle for Gilneas City
2. The Hunt For Sylvanas
3. Vengeance or Survival
4. Slowing the Inevitable
6. Laid to Rest
7. Patriarch's Blessing
8. Keel Harbor
9. They Have Allies, But So Do We
The Battle for Gilneas City is unplayable, so players cannot leave the zone. (A few people report that they were able to do it but ran into other problems afterwards. The vast majority cannot get the quest to work at all.)
The major selling point in Blizzard's ad campaigns was that this $39 expansion (after $49 for the original game plus two $49 expansions) offered two new races, the Worgen and the Goblins. So this is fully one half (or one-third, depending on how you weight an additional five levels) of the game that is broken, despite all the preparation and beta-testing said to have gone into it.
World of Warcraft has 12 million subscribers who pay upwards to $15 per month plus incidental charges for services that make airlines look downright philanthropic. There is no justification for Blizzard, with its money-grasping policies and execrable customer support, to release something this fucked up.
But I suppose it is almost to be expected.
